I love exploring new techniques and creating fresh ideas in my artwork. I enjoy evolving my work and I'm a huge lover of ideas. Even though I'm an artist, I can tell you that sometimes I feel like a scientist. In the flash of a moment, I'll be inspired by something and that'll generate multiple ideas! Once I have these ideas, I have to figure out how to create them. I'll think about what materials I need, tools and what kind of new technique I can create that’s something I've never seen before. I created the Liquid Art series about 6 years ago before it became popular. I spent a solid weekend alone in my studio mixing paints and glazes to find the exact viscosity for every color to achieve this look. After several trial and errors, the liquid art series was created! This idea was inspired by how intrigued I was with the creation process of marble, granite, and sedimentary layers. I had been on a rock climbing trip and saw these beautiful layers in the earth. I couldn't believe something so solid could look liquid. And so it became!
